Molly Tipton and her husband are looking forward to retirement, but Molly s life suddenly spirals out of control when her oldest daughter is involved in a terrible accident. An icy road and a sharp turn leave one woman dead, another clinging to life.
While two families grieve, details emerge that reveal Molly s daughter was driving under the influence. As she prepares her daughter for the prospect of a vehicular homicide lawsuit, Molly discovers her oldest child is not the only one injured and forced to deal with past mistakes.
If it s true that time heals all wounds, what are we to do with our scars?
*I was provided this book in exchange for sharing my honest opinion*
Breathing on Her Her Own was a beautifully written novel from a new-to-me voice in fiction that I’ve already decided is an instant favorite. This book deals with delicate occurrences but in a well thought out way that really pulls you into the story. You grieve and feel and hope right along with the characters and find yourself on a written journey that changes the way you look at things. I absolutely devoured this novel in a single day and, as I always say, that’s the mark of a great read. Breathing on Her Own is an outstanding read. I don’t want to spoil much of what happens, but I felt like I got so much more from this book than I expected going in. If you love a book that’s different, thought-provoking and beautifully versed this is the book for you.
