Welcome to the kick-off stop for Carole Brown’s Knight in Shining Apron Blog Tour! In honor of the release of this book we are having a week long celebration with interviews, reviews, excerpts, and more from both books in the Appleton, WV series. Today I will be featuring the first book in the series, Sabotaged Christmas, with a review. Be sure to follow me on Twitter to keep up to date with all of the other stops coming up this week from various wonderful bloggers! @ElectivelyPaige
After already being a big fan of the author after reading her book, The Redemption of Caralynne Hayman, and combining that with my love of a good cozy mystery I couldn’t wait to dive in Sabotaged Christmas.
I have to say, I was yet again blown away with how quick this author can hook me on a book. I read it in June, but it would make the perfect “Christmas in July” read. The pacing was perfect, the mystery fun to read about and the touch of romance perfectly done. When a book keeps you up to late reading, you know you’ve got something going for you and that was the case with this one. The only complaint I can give is not really a complaint at all – the book ended much too soon for me! I wanted to live in the world these characters reside in just a bit longer. Thankfully, I didn’t have to wait long to dive into the next Appleton, WV book!
Besides being an active participant of many writing groups, Carole enjoys mentoring beginning writers. She loves to weave suspense, tough topics, romance and whimsy into her books, and is always on the lookout for outstanding titles and catchy ideas. She and her husband reside in SE Ohio but have ministered and counseled nationally and internationally. Together, they enjoy their grandsons, traveling, gardening, good food, the simple life, and did she mention their grandsons?
