Part Two: To Make a King
Dark magic undermines the Crown Prince's succession, and a young prince is encouraged to take action against his half-brother in a plot to usurp the crown. Before the sun sets on coronation day, brother will face brother and swords will be bared.
Part Three: Should Monarchs Stumble
When the new king stumbles, an old enemy is quick to take advantage, conspiring to take the kingdom by force. The king’s jester must decide whether to back the usurper, or help the king choose to be a better man.
Being a huge fan of fantasy novels, I’m always on the lookout for the next epic world I’ll be absolutely swept away in. When I found out one of my favorite authors on the romantic suspense scene was going to be taking a crack at fantasy, well I couldn’t be more excited. You see, as I believe I’ve established in previous reviews, Kristi Cramer has a wonderful storytelling ability, one that really grips you, and so I had a pretty strong feeling she’d craft an incredible that I’d love getting lost in. I was right. This first book contains three parts, originally published separately they’re now all in one volume, which is amazing because of the price being so low, in my opinion. I couldn’t wait to read page after page of kings and friends, magic and swords, usurpers and mystery – it’s all woven so brilliantly that you can’t stop til the last page is turned. I look forward to more in this magical new series, and highly recommend you pick up your copy now. Oh, and I know it’s best not to judge by them and all that blah but have you seen the cover? AMAZING. Literally would have bought this book without reading the description based on it alone.
